Labrie owned first place for seven laps while K~ner methodically picked off Shob~Tt and then Poovey. Keener would say later, "I got behind those guys and I had to figure out where to go." The Boulder, Colorado veteran turn~ the key on lap eight and his Don Hab~rm~hl tuned H·D and churned by Labri~ for the win. Poovey waited until the final lap before moving past Shobert into third. Keener said after the win. "I wasn't sure for a while." Poovey said to Labrie, "I was trying to pass you and almost fell off." Labrie said. "We still have some heating/pinging problems with the engine. This track is usually a billiard table.
