T'was the night before Christmas (with election year coming up fast! ) (Although this arn"""d a day aJter our "Santa Claus" wile ~nt to the prinlu's Wi wee/t., we feel 1h4t it's a clever Gnd timely way to express the way we all feel about current political haJ>~";ngs" Papa tha..... Gino and Anni. oj While out from Cal City There came this strange sound And I knew in an instant There was a hike on the ground. "You can't just give in And give up the fight The fint thing you do Is you've got to unitel His eyes turned all glassy He looked like a hellion When he mentioned Brown's vem Of the Sagebrush Rebellion. Twas the night before Christmas And all through the dez Not a bike could be heard Thanks to our Prez. So I glanced out the window And got quite a tickle When I spied this fat kid On his own motorcycle. He mentioned some duck kid A Louis McKey Who started things rolling For you and me. And don't forget Carter By hook or by crook Appointed that dummy The one they call Claybrook. All through with dinner We were feeling quite hardy But why shouldn't we At our own Christmas party. I had been drinking If you know what I mean So I wasn't so sure I'd seen what I'd seen. He didn't quit With the banging of heads He went to court And he beat the feds. But there is one man Who spends most of his days Working for you And his name is Bob Hayes. As in past yean And we hope more still We were having our party At Galileo Hill. So I walked to the window All covered with holly And I saw this fat man Who looked merry and jolly. He said we should donate Either money or time Sit down and write letten It won't cost a dime. So on election day If you don't want a screwing When you enter that box Know what you're doing. A few of the kids Were already asleep Some very lightly Othen quite deep. He came in the door This huge hunk of fat He weighed at least a ton But he walked like a cat. But if you have bucks And don't know the score Send some to Russ And join in M.O.R.E. Don't take what I've said With a grain of sand Just do as I say And you'll gain more land. Annie's B.S. 'n To beat the band About how the feds Are taking our land. His eyes they twinkled His head was all hair He said he had something He wanted to share. The Legal Defense Fund OftheAMA Then there's that duck kid What more can I say. He turned as he said "Get in there and fight" He waved us goodbye And bid us good night. Most of the grown-ups Are yelling and screaming While all of our little ones Are sleeping and dreaming. He said if we'd listen To what he had planned And do what he said We'd stop lOsing land. And another way That you're missing the boat When you go to the polls Know how to vote.
