At mota's end, O'Mara won by a mile. Holley was second followed by Ron Turner. Willy Simons and Brett Nelson. Radical Ron holeshot the second mota with Flying Mike Brown second ahead of Simons, A.J. Whiting, O'Mara and Holley. Lap five saw Turner still in the lead with Brown covering him in second and O'Mara hustling to take third. Holley put Simons and Whiting behind him on the next lap. Three laps later, Turner put it into overdrive and put six seconds between himself and Brown. O'Mara got past Brown on the 12th lap and started to reel in Turner. Holley also got past Brown and kept O'Mara in sight, With two laps to go and Turner and O'Mara coming up to lap traffic. the battle started to get intense. Holley was still hustling, holding on to O'Mara with Whiting in fourth. On the last lap Turner had maybe an inch of daylight on O'Mara, and Radical Ron was still ahead as they hit the checkered with O'Mara congratulating him on a fine ride. O'Mara was the overall winner wit~ Turner and Holley second and third, In the Open Pros, Goat Breker took the limelight - and the overall win by coming from mid-pack starts to a 12 tally. Jerry Shore conquered the l25cc Pros with two firsts. leading Dave Lynch across the line in both motos. Greg Martinez finished third. Ed Arnet ran away with the 250cc Pro honors aboard his Wheelsmith Maico, with Tim Locey placing. second.
