The Minis opened the program and showed that it was going to be wide open and on the gas as Cun Bisaill won both the SOcc heat race and main event, with eight year-old Doug De Lay winning the 50cc class. _ I~ the Expert division Joey Schlag, ndlng the new KTM, sustained pressure during the opening laps before pulling away from the pack for the main event win. The main was almost a copy of the heat race as Tracy Hayes, after a crash in the heat, battled with Alan Mc~ehee for second with Hayes coming out on top. The highlight of the night was the Open Junior/Novice division. A crash in the first lap slowed or eliminated many of the contenders in the main, but Junior Jack Grenig picked his way through the pack for the Junior win.
