This CMC race was a great one;
Rick Benek did it again in the
250cc and Open Pros to cap off
his wins at S. I. R. the night
before.

Jack McGill, Olympic Yamaha's
sweetheart, zipped his Expert YZ80
and an Intermediate 125cc Yamaha to
wins in these c1a~es.
Old Timers and Over the Hill Gangs
were on hand to practice for their up
and coming team race. Power leaders
Bill McCandless and "The Old Man,"
Bob White, were expected to produce
great results at the Old Timers Race in
Bend, OR.
The all new CMC track at
Spanaway Speedway is alive and well .
and racing is at its best most
Saturdays, and some Sundays,
throughout the year.
A Pat Jacobson Benefit Race will
be held on this track, Oct. 15·14. The
special two days event will benefit
Suzuki Pro Pat Jacobson who was
seriously hurt in a Texas National
Motocross event. Amateurs will race
Saturday·Sunday and Pros ride t4ree
