Hill Gang showed up in good force Sunday to pay their last racing respects to Racing World, now m~king wayior a housing development. The Expen' class lined up at the cement baled stanilll gate and blasted down the Many Smith course with Pitter Pat grabbing the hoIeshot. Halfway aroUnd, though, Rat-Hole Rocky stole the lead, keeping it the remainder of the moto. Get-off Gary moved up to second, pushing PinerPat back. . Stubby Steve ran third on the first lap, then lost it to Jam-it Jim O'Neal, who'd rushed to the staning gate just having finished the Hilltopper's grand prix in the rugged hills behind the track.jim. either being tired or a little overexuberant, high·sided a 'berm and moved to the back. Stubby Steve recaptured his- position and took third. In the ~ond Expen moto, Get-Off Gary immediately pow~ed his Maico the the. front and won easily. Being his first expen win, Gary .beamed as he rode into the pits. Rat·Hole rode the ragged edge, trying to repeat his first moto win, yet took second. The Amateur class chased Nauseous Norm around the track for the first lap. During that pursuit. Run-Over Ron was moving up from third to capture first place and went on to win the first moto. Lizard Lou wrestled his new Can-Am past Flaky Frank to take second. In the second Amateur moto, Jinx Jerry, just having moved up from the Intermediate class, .took the lead temporarily until veteran Amateur c1asser Jester Jerry breezed by him at the end of the first lap. Soon, Lizard Lou moved out front and nearly sewed it up. But in the last lap,' Run-Over Ron go' him. Dippy Del came in on Lou's back tire. _ Drafty Dennis led the Intermediates around the first big right hand sw~ in their fmt moto. Maicomounted Just Jim. a consistent top placer. sped to the front and went all the way. Absent Al ran second ·off the first lap until Scabby Skip sailed on by to take second..In the last lap Kwik Keith took third place from Drafty Dennis. . Drafty Dennis got the holeshot again in the second moto. Scabby Skip took second again for first overall; 110l without a challange though from Bang ,.Bang BoSo, who ledhiOl for t,.o laps
