Mlchletach and
Van Epps have It
their way at Mu.ey
By Action Oz
McMINNVILLE, OR, JUNE 5
With a few more service stations
open on the weekend, rider turnout was excellent and the competition, as usual, was frantic.
The 125cc Pro clus was full of the top
names. Dave Van Epps looked around
and said, "no reason this can't be my
day" and left. With a third place shot
off the line, he just took his time, rode
his Suzuki around die course, and
built up the crowd for a big surprise.
More about that later.
Darryl Zumstein,
Woodland
Honda, had the lead and was smoking
the pack. He had his way for .10 laps.
More about that later.
Chris Seines, Moto-X-Fox, just back
from a bout with "pneumonia," was
out there and looking good. But the
old "bod" just was not ready yet and he
succumbed to iu weakening factors.
Joe Spangler, .Eugene Suzuki, was in
contention most of. the early running
but got passed from third at one point
to finish fifth at moto's end.
Meanwhile, there's Zumstein still out
front, and it's lap 10 of 11. He's
looking good - but what's this blurrrr
out of the comer of his goggles -
