Reid 'cer tainly appeared to have the race under control when he slid into a corner and went down . There was no time for him to pick his machine up so it was inevitable that another man was going to plow into him. Sure enough. Gary Jones on his Ammex was the one to run into the Honda road block and they both lost a lot of yardage. Both men got their stuff back on the track again when even another accident occurred. These two approached the jump in front of the grandstands and they tangled bikes again. To say the least . neither r'der was very thrilled about the other's performance! Turner and Lunde were both on top after these two crash and bum stunts. Reid proved to be the fastest overall but because of the bad second moto his chances for the first place money were lost to Radical Ron Turner. Tim Lunde claimed second place cash over Reid.
