Sanford who again slipped into the
check as his number turned and flew
out riding on the edge of COntrol.
Donny dropped only three at the next
check - 48 seconds into the third
minute. Burleson dropped four . eight
seconds into the fourth minute .
Burleson maintained his four minutes
to the next check . while Donny
dropped a few more seconds. and lost
four at the eighth check. When it was
all over. Donny had nine. Richa rd 10.
Drew Smith was right in there.with II .
John Fero was fourth overall with II
and won overall "A ." Hannon . who
won Post la st ye a r . had brake
problems dropping him to ninth .
Burleson was riding a pure stock
390WR loaned to him by the local
H usk y dealer. Richard flew in late
Friday . prepped the bike Saturday '
morni ng a nd proceeded to come .in
second on Sunday. Had it not been for
speedometer problems. he should have
won the Post National for t he fou rt h
time; but to Burleson being second is
like not even being there.
