Wit hin . three laps, Wise had stuffed his wa y a ro u nd Boon e, th e radical red racer bellowing its way out of the turns like one of Honda 's 450 cc Open class bik es. The bik e was quick for a 250 cc and Wise was even quicker. T og et her they wer t> a potent combina tion . Steve began reeling in H annah , clos ing to withi n three seconds of him . Positi ons changed con stantly in these two groups, but no rid er was able to ' brea k out of th em excep t for one . That was Yamaha 's Mike Bell , who in th e closin g laps m oved toward th e leaders in a d etermined bid.
