Tony D missed out on making the five-man cutoff when he lost his rear brake. The final qualifier went to Steve Wise after moving up from third place to pass Croft and Semics. Steve looked fast , and everyone was hoping that speed would be good enough to match Hannah's..:if not better it . -All Steve wanted was a good sta rt for the feature which now wasn't far off.
