went for it . The 85cc B class saw Mike Larson (Kaw) win the overall with Lance Kilgore (Su z) getting second and Steve Oster (Suz) taking third . In the 100c c B class J. McGill (Ya m) rod e a fin e eight laps to th e overa ll win wh ile Ro bby Watilo (Yam) ga ve him a close chase for seco nd. The 125cc .B class saw ' nothing bu t the green b lu r of Lance Schoe n ing (Kaw) as he put on a class ride for Cliffs Cycle in Bremerton . Schoe ning is exhibiting fine fonn in the B class and should be a ve competent Pro when he moves into that class. H e was followed by Mike Thom pson and Steve Parker . T he 250cc B class saw Schumach er, Lit tle and Li ndy take the to p or der for their class. In the Open B class it was Gabover , Myers a nd Sessions. The 40 and over class saw an ove r 50 ride r by th e name of Darrell Trib er d o it to th e others on a Honda . Triber was very fast and won by a wide margin over second place Norm Duvall. Don T aylor picked up the third place spot. Over -the-hill riders in the A class saw Ochs , Shandrow and Wright take top honors. In what is believed to be a first at an indoor event the sid ehack team of Dick .Thompson and Alex Raphael bounced and jousted to first place while the teams of McDowell /Langosh and Hill /Butterfield rounded out .the top three spots . Side hacks in the Kingdome are a sigh t to see. The top ranking brass of Pace Management were on hand to study the effect , so who knows - maybe Hannah a nd T ripes as a team with a mono frame and Honda powe r ? The 85cc A class saw Bobby Moore win it whil e Don Gores and T im Aston followed in that order. . Richard Bragg won t he IOOcc A class in fin e style and was followed by Phil Lambert and Steve Corcoran. Phil La rsen (Kaw) duplicated his 85cc B brother's feat in the 125cc A class by winning it quite handily, Ph il put on another green blur off the line and sa id good bye for the day. His closest ri va l was B, Ruckman wh o p icked up the second spot pos iti on , The town of Longview wa s well represented by J immy Anderson in the 250 cc A class , Riding for Longview Suzuki , Anderson -went out and flat got it on , With smooth but blazing style he looked as close to the fonn that was presented the night before. Classic jumps and controlled handling through the clay whoops. Anderson is another na me that will be notched along side of the likes of Burgett, Sun and G regson as top northwestproduced mot ocrossers , B, Ba rk er and Steve Pless followed Anderson in th e 250cc A top three class . For a first-time- ever indoor Amateur race in the Northwest the day was a success , The AMA has its act together as fa r as this type of program is concerned and should be congratulated for its .efforts.
