250cc Junior Joey McCrummen ,
riding for Valley Cycle Supply. had his
Honda on the gas for a I -I , with his
only competition coming from Wayne
Archer's 2-2.
In the first 125cc Junior rnoto . Glen
Re inburg was holding down last place
in a field of 15 riders. Glen finally got
on the gas and kept it on until he
finally passed the leader, Scott Stanley,
for the win . Ron McClean , who hadn't
been out for some time, won the final
125cc mota for second overall.
Alex Jorgenson , riding for jorgy's
Suzuki in Stockton, showed up on
Saturday for the motocross after a win
on the rough scrambles track on Friday
night. Alex has won the last eight races
on his Can -Am. All the competition
came from another Jorgy's rider, Mike
Preston, who pushed Alex from time
to time, but Alex had everything
under control for another win .
The minis looked like a Supercross
with full factory sponsored riders out
in force . Tyson Vohland riding for
Yamaha: was to duel with Kawasaki
factory rider, Doug Chandler and the
Jensen Cycle Center rider , Allen
Silhanck. Silhanck was way ahead of
Doug Chandler for the first rnoro . but
the seco nd mota would go to the wire.
Chandler got the holeshot and away he
went. Allen worked his way up from
about 10th place and looked like he
might catch Doug, but Chandler kept
the green machine wide open for the
victory.
The 100cc Novice class saw the
Coleman brothers from Stockton
smoke the troops . Larry won and
Lance took second.
Mini Novice Troy Barazoto ' again
took the number one position with
Troy Joyce second. Troy Barazoto
should be moved to Expert soon , then
look-out!
