Weller wallops AMESummer SeriesMX By Tom Corley VALENCIA , CA . AUG, 18 At the AME Su per Sum mer Series Friday evening, the turn- out decreased slightly. This came as quite a surprise to alot of people but there were a couple of other races that were to happen on the weekend. A new night motocross was going to open up at OCI R, but was postponed one week, which threw a few off while another two-day events captures similar attention. Even on a low night th e program was still larger than most night tracks. The racing didn't exactly ge t over early, but certain ly not as late as usual because the last race ended about midnight. One of the most active classes ' is usually the 125cc J u n iors and there were several divisions tonight. A well rounded group of 15 riders crowd ed to the first turn in the 125cc J u nio r Division Two race and there was alot of t ight racing going on in the middle of the pack. As far as the winning was concerned, all credit goes to Dave WeOer (Suz) , supported by Suzuki Sport Center. WeOer started right away when the first rnoto gate dropped and he managed to take the lead and maintain first till the checkered flag . Da ve edged out Bruce Hiroshima. WeOer gassed it in the second moto and performed identically while the competitors Mark Chikasawa advanced on Hiroshima . W ener wal ked off with the top brass over Chikasawa, Hiroshima.
