Double Expert class winner larry Wosick roosted the zap CMC Pros. John Handelin (Mai) ran away with both of the Open Amateur motos while Mike Lane (Yam) did battle with Jeff . Burns (Mai ) and Steve Kusanovich (Yam). After some good dieing in the second rnoto it was Lane coming out in the second place spot behind Handelin, giving Lane second overall for the day . AUG. 15 Ridge Runners Motorcycle Club opened up their excellent Watsonville race track for another day of motocross and ·.34 524 riders turned out to do battle on the tricky, natural-terrain course. Charlie Soares started out the day's events by taking a first in moro one of the 100cc Novice class. Soares, riding a Suzuki, held off hard -charging Donnie Peterson (Yam) for the moto win and then came back to finish third behind Mike Randal (Suz) and Chris McCurdy (Yam) in the second round to take the overall victory. Larry Wosick (Suz) took a runaway win in both motos of the 125cc Expert class with Mike Marquez (Yam) and Pat Wilson (Hon) swapping wins in both of the 250cc Expert motos. Marqu"", finished out front in the second moto to take the overall. Open Expert action saw Larry Wosick out in front again. just as he had done in the 125cc class and he dominated the first moto on his Maico. Wood got the holeshor in the second Open Expert moto, but was soon passed by Bob Myers (Mai) who kept on the gas , leading Wosick throughout most of the moto, Jerry Heiberger was back in the pack in the early stages of the second moto, but began working his way up and was challenging Wosick for second place by the fifth lap. With only two laps to go , Myers bobbled, allowing Wosick and Heiberger to slip by. WOsick held on for the checkered to make a clean sweep of two Expert classes. • Open Novice action saw
