The fini sh ing order and the overall results went Scheidler , Odra , Orescanin and Jerry Fr eckleton (Suz). Phillip T horstensen and Da ve Rose made a repeat performance of last week in the 250cc Expert class. The two Honda pilots dominated both motos. Thorstensen managed to come out on top in spite of a first moto start in nearly last place. It took him only four laps to gel in second .place, but then it took him most of the rest of the race to reel in Rose. On lap 10 he made his move and took the lead. Rose started to fall back in the remaining laps, apparently satisfied with second place. In the next round , Thorstensen shot into the lead , but Rose passed him on lap five . Rose started to open a big lead and it looked as though he would ha ve the overall victory wrapped up. But a combination of a last minute spri nt b y T horste nsen and a few mistakes by Rose gave the lead to Thorstensen wh en it counted, on the last lap . O ve rall results we nt T h orste nsen, Rose . Mike Godfrey (Ma i), Tom Kanos (Suz) and Scott , Quick (Suz) . The 125cc Novic e class was a feather in Richard Hoffman's cap. In both motos he put his Suzuki so far in front that he looked like an old hand in this game. Actually Hoffman has had very little experience in the 125cc class although he is a top Mini class r id er.
