Schneller suddenly pulled off th e trac k with ca rburetor trouble. but got back in t he action just in time to maintain second. With the clock winding down to 10 remaining minutes, Oswell was right on top of Shennan. Schneller again went off to the side with problems and was passed ' oy Oswell. Schneller re-entered the race and managed to hold on to th ird to the end. The second round was a replay of action with Gillman in the lead, Schneller second and Oswell third . As the top three opened up leads. Angelo Cofino was closing on Hunt in a duel for sixth. Miller was running fourth and held finn to the end. - When th e checkered flag ca me out Gillman crossed over to victory. Schneller took second overall and Oswell took home third pla ce mon ey. - For t he 100cc Pros it was a clean swee p for Jim Ho lley. both for th e class as well as th e series . He had been ba tt ling Jim Simons t hroug hout t he series with onl y 280 point s separating him . but in this final race he cleaned up. Simons held firm for a 2·2 rid e .a nd seco nd for t he series .
