While the program consisted mostly of Sportsman riders . there were a few Pros really going at it. Ra ce four was t he 500cc Pro go and in this contest there were two riders tracking one another and these two were Ron Tebbs and Steve Richard. The Whittier Kawasaki-supported Tebbs has a few wins to speak of including many from both Saddleback and Racing World races. Ron struts his stuff on a bigger bore Husky and ended up claiming the overall with two first place waves of the checkered flag from CRG's Kathy. Second place finisher Richard looked good on a Yamaha. On May 7 there will be another hot $1000 purse race at the Dunes and everyone will receive a free CRC Tshirt just for entering! Resu lts in Results Section. MX FRONT . Throughout the first rnoto , he was busy chasing Ernie Reid (Yam). They battled down to the wire with Brett Miser chasing both of them , With heavy dicing throughout the rest of the pack. Reid remai ned in control with Meyer holding second and Miser safe in third . Meyer took control at the beginning of the second rnoto and held his command to the wire with Reid firm in second and Miser finishing in third. Meyer took home top honors, Reid scooped up second overall and third went to Miser . Tim Dias from H a nford racked up a beautiful pair of back -to -back wins in the Open Intermediates.
