John Gennai, who first led. then chased Steve Eklund around the Houston Astrodome TT course in January. has been declared the overall w inner of the Grizzly Bear one-day reliabil ity trial. According to -J effrey Hammond, Gennai was out cowtrailing in the area and saw organizers arrowing the course. He asked what it was all about. they got him i nt erest ed and he entered tfie event. AMA 0 -36 rules required t tiat Gennai be issued a "C" rider classification because he didn't have an enduro card. even though he holds AMA National number 20.
