Sam my Tanner Distnbutinq 26 lUBRI-TECH 213·924-211 1 The mileage was divided into four loops , with numbers taken at all checks and an excellent armband system to cut any misdirected strategy. (If caught it's called chearing.) On the first loop Welk led with Secor/Stearns eating the dust and John Mc Daniel /Doug McKenzie behind them a hair. Open Amateur Mike Assof (solo) was hashing it out with O pen Expert Bobby Galloway . Ga lloway slid past him on the second loop. Welk lapped one rider by the third lap a nd Seco r/Stearns were right on it ou t of the check. Assof traded spots with Ga llowa y, staying just in front of him t ill Galloway repassed and disappeared between third and fourth check, good for a thi rd overall. The Ra ndy Hollenbeck /Cla ude 1 Maynard tea m moved past McDa niel! McKenzie, ho ldi ng it to finish fourt h " overall. Greg Meyers a nd Brad Fenton passed Roger Adsit (solo) on the second loop , p utting five bikes ( between them on the third lap . In 125cc Expert class , Kevin Graves teamed with Don Seay , Jr . to give number one and two p late ho lders Don Mathews and Ron Laffranchi the hottest battle they've had this season since Steve Ka p ha rt's absence'. They led the class all four loops. Seay has been the heavy in the 125cc Amateur ranks, showing much improvement and should be one to watch moving, int o the Experts . Jim Valov (solo) ! •
