Ed Ho took the 125cc Junior Division 11 win after a night of wild and hairy racing. Coming around on the first lap of the opening rnoto the riders were packed solid . Re x Richardson had the lead , as such , with H o in second and S teve Hallock running third. Hallock h ad his hands fu ll with Mark Zehosky and R a ndy Pre tzer hounding him , p u lling up alongside, three abreast, When the inoto ended , R icha rdson still held his lead, Ho was second and Zehosky had taken over third . Tne secon d time off th e line, there was the same tight battle with little change in positions . Perry Ce n d ro ha d ta ken command and held th ro ughou t t he moto with Ho in second and Pretzer running third. 6y the end of the night Ho had taken home the overall win, Richa rdson had second overall and third went to Pretzer. The 250cc Pro win belonged to Ca n Am and the Kolbe team from start to finish with Eddie Cole taking home top money, Eddie led off the first mota with teammates Craig Cole and Greg Robertson right behind him. Can Am 's only competition came from Bill Robertson on his new Honda CR250R . Eddie opened a nice lead, leaving the dueling to Craig Cole and Greg Robertson. The whole moto was a blaze of solid orange for the first three positions, leaving Bill Robertson in fourth to hold off traffic. The second time out Greg Robertson beat his teammates to the draw ' with Bill Robertson solid in fourth, Throughout the moto Ca n -Am ,.ru led as Greg held command over Eddie and Craig Cole, running •. econd a nd third respectively. Eddie s ended the evening in the top m oney, .Greg .R ob ertson took down second overa ll and Craig Cole took down third overall. J For the 125cc Pros , it was John O'Ma ra 's night . Taking the lead in the first moto , O'Mara, on a new Al Baker 'S u zu ki , had Chip J o h n son close behind. Battling for third against Mark Lawrence was Jim Crowder, a new Pro having a beautiful ride . Lawrence eased his wa y into second and held steady throughout the rnoto as O 'Mara set up a wide open lead for himself. Bv the end of the mota O 'Mara held th e lead; Lawrence took down second and Johnson was steady in third . The second time out Doug Nicol '} jumped out in front with O'Mara in hot pursuit. N icol went down and O'Mara took over. Danny Thompson and Lawrence dueled for second with Lawrence the vic tor , grabbing a handful of gears and setting out for O'Mara, b ut unable to catch him .
