Jacobson jars PuyallupMX By Sue Sykes PUYALLUP , WA ,JAN. 15 Rains came during mid-week to get Puyallup Raceway in perfect condition for a Sunday motocross , then the sun took over as the firs t moto jumped out of the gate. Pat Jacobson (Su z) and J im ( And erson (Suz ) sp lit a pair of win s in 125cc Pro action with Jacobson taking t the o vera ll . Anderson ca rried the colors every la p of the first moto , getting the holeshot and firs t lap lead. Both were di aled in and hit every berm for all it was wort h. Jacobson got h is knees m uddy at least three tim es as he go t off in moto one. T he first lap he came over Raini er five and h it a mess of b ikes an d riders. Pa t kn ew every rider counts and by th e flag he ha d pushed from mid-pack to second. The 250cc Pro d ice was a J aco bson connection as he claim ed every lap of ~ both motes . Phil Larson (Suz) was in the second slot all the way to pick up his moto money and overall. ( T he Dyn amic Duo in th e Open Pro ~ cla sh was Rick Bin ckley on his Everett , Ya m a h a a n d T om P oage o n an Olym pic Ya maha . The mud d idn't s hold th ese two back and they gave it all they had . With short winter days ( and a long mot ocr oss program , these Open boys almost needed ligh ts to see bu t t he crowd hung in t here an d su pp or ted th e riders until that last lap. The Price team was right there to pick u p the lead , but a wild p ass by Red Lumsden and O rv Nail took it away in mid-air. On the same lap they too threw a ch ain , givi ng th e win a nd overall to the Price team .
