Spencer FREMONT, CA, NOV. 5 to domina te TERRI -Kll' Jim Mertens continues the racing at Fremont Ra ceway with another flawless performance with Rick Delacy, much to the delight of the chilled fans. Fremont has never before run a late season show, but it was the earliest the new promoters could get the track. The rider and spectator turnout was a little over last week's, which is a plus. The Mertens/Delacy show came once again in the 360 Expert with the only rider missing from last week being Don Bailey. Mertens and Yamaha were too much for everyone but Delacy. on another Yamaha . The two put on another great series of bar to bar sliders, Delacy let it all out showing his recovery from accidents, .bu t a t the end Mertens got around and took the second straight win , Once again Rick Eklund took the third spot on his TT 500. Fra nk Garcia made the 360 Jun iors loo k easy afte r rid ing arou nd Mike McC lu rg a nd Dan Armstron g , wh ile Ji m Patterson too k a narrow win in the 500 J u nior.
