Dick Payne, the ramrod of the H -and-L, and most of his crew wer e on hand along with Mrs. Horner , President of th e Women's Auxiliary and James Shern , Chief of the Pasadena Fire Department, The high point of the evening was d ie presentation to Doctor Zawicki of the Los Angeles County-USC Burn W ard of a check for $15 ,000. Not too bad for a dusty bunch of scooter riders. Doctor Zawicki expressed his appreciation to a ll those who m ade th e htl' e check p ossibl e. As the awards were presented , Miss ook a nd Ladder became th e mo st photogra p hed ga l in L.A. County.
