She was killed Tuesday evening , Nov. 8 by a negligent dri ver while returning home from a friend 's house on her street bike. There will be no funeral. I ca n' t help but wonder what the big shots of the AMA cou ld be thinking of. I'll never forget having to get to the track four hours ea rl y on race d ay to get a seat in an old wooden grandstand and then sitting there for an eternity wait ing for the ra cing to sta rt . Castle Rock is a unique track - the last cl u bsponsored race - built and groomed for years for m otorcycles and motorcycles only (not horses or cars , but motorcycles). Those of us who were lucky enough to have been there, well , we have our memories . I have mixed emotions as motorcycle racing grows and goes b ig time. I' m glad for the riders .
