'~ That's once J&L Prom otions of Nevada extend their deepest apologies to all riders , and especially those who came a long distance , because we had to cancel the race on October 30. GARY LAUDIG CN Desert Little Rock, CA Memories of Castle Rock I was very disappointed to read that the Castle Rock TT National will not be held in 1978 . I ca n' t help but wonder what the big shots of the AMA cou ld be thinking of. I'll never forget having to get to the track four hours ea rl y on race d ay to get a seat in an old wooden grandstand and then sitting there for an eternity wait ing for the ra cing to sta rt . Castle Rock is a unique track - the last cl u bsponsored race - built and groomed for years for m otorcycles and motorcycles only (not horses or cars , but motorcycles). Those of us who were lucky enough to have been there, well , we have our memories . I have mixed emotions as motorcycle racing grows and goes b ig time. I' m glad for the riders . O n the other hand , it's too bad when a sport gets so big that the people who run it lose perspective of where they ca me from. DO N STR AN GE Olympia, WA There's still a chance that the Mt .
