Though "the Brown Bom ber" was beaten in both motos of the 250 class. it showed the fans that Brown can charge through traffic as easily as-h can run away e from th e pack. Roger suffered a fall on the first lap of the first mota and picked. himself up in last place. 30 seconds behind the leaders. As Ralph Babin and Glen Johnson were putting on a fine contest for the lead , Brown was moving through the field like a . m an possessed , at a pace two seconds a lap faster than any other rider. At the checkered flag , Babin won ' over Johnson. and Brown took third. only 20 yards behind the lea ders. The fina l ' mota was won by Houston hotshoe .
