The first moto saw Terry Shekell get the jump off the line. Shekell was the one who 1 • gave Bauer a run for his money last week. only to lose it in a tie breaker.. Bauer was second with Steve Shippy third. Shekell and Bau er were putting on the same kind of battle they had waged the previous week. Meanwhile back in seventh, Dave Taylor (DG Hus) was making h is wa y quietly through the pack, picking up a rider per lap until he was running third with two laps to go . Bauer tried to take Shekell as they hit the whoop-de-doos but Shekell, who does his best work through that section , closed the door on him . Bau er was second and Taylor third. The final moto had Taylor off o n top followed by Bauer and Shippy. In ord~r for Bau er to com e up with the win he had to get by Taylor and Taylor wasn't having any of that.
