Elliot began to catch Wanket b u t came up a half a b ike length sh ort. Elliot won the overa ll, Wank et was second and Ha nsen (2·5 ) took third . .T he Open Pro win went to Ri ck Bla ckw ell (Ya m), who won b oth mot os, In th e firs t moto Blackwell came f;om a fourth place sta rt be hind Jeff Vidic, Greg Blackwell and Dav e Miller , After a couple of la ps. Miller m oved in to th e lead and R ick Blackw ell grabbed second. Through most of th e mo to Mill er a nd Blackwell di ced , with Bla ckwell win n ing , Mill er second a nd Vidic third . In the second mota , Vid ic agai n pulled a hol esh ot. Bob Marino , was seco nd . Greg Blackwell th ird , Da ve Miller fourth and Rick Bla ckwell fifth . Miller fell and Rick Bla ckwell passed G reg Blackwell and ca me u p behind Vidie a nd Ma rino . Rick Blackwell soon too k over the lead and started to pull away from G reg Blac kwell who took over seco nd .
