Riding Bob Neill's borrowed (and
blue) sidecar, the Mesa KTM Sales

problems like th is slowing down the

three laps and then back to th e real
racing.
The last battle was technically
int eresting due to the appearance of a
re a l short tracker : a Championframed 250 Kawasaki. Technically
attractive , yes; competitive , no. The
comparativel y rough track was too
much for the m ild suspension set- u p
and steep fork angle . The result was a
spectator's delight and a rider's :
nightmare . The un -numbered a n d
unknown rider had to be black flagged
as a menace . The otherwise uneventful
finale went to Buzz Cruise , follow ed by
Buzz Keegan and "EggPlant ."
After the festi vities, spectators and
racers a like re tired to an eveni ng of
motion pictures, court esy of Los Dos
Gross Bros. , and awaited the dawn
when th e Early Bird MX was to be
run . While th e super- S movies were
silen t, sound effects were provided on
the bl ack MX co urse by T he Brothers
Won derful. Fea tu red films included
"Cycles T o Now he re ," " RBGP '75"
and the " Phoen ix GP ."
