DIVISION 2: Bobbi Hunter, SAN BERNARDINO, CA,. SEPT. 7 Mike Bast and Bruce Penhall are back, and they let everyone know it Wednesday night. At their first night back together at Inland Dan Waller pulls lim ferris and Dave Simms around the Ventura oval. Speedway since their overseas racing, they split the two Mains. Bast won the Handicap and -then finished second to Penhall in the Scratch finale. Bast started off slowly, taking only a third in the first handicap heat. But Penhall started red hot. Of the eight races Bast or Penhall were in , the duo took six of them. The two thoroughly dominated the evening of racing. On fox night in San Bernardino the female riders didn't fare too well. Kathie Shepard did not ride. Her bik e is still out of commission from last week's nasty fall at Inland, and she couldn't borrow another one. Pam Bennett did not qualify .
