A coo l breeze kept the dust off the track and the rid ers were ready to go for it. The 125 Experts shot off the line with Terry Du cker ( Ya m ) leadi ng around th e first co mer. Rick Hulsizer ( Ya m) sq ueeze d in to se co nd with Rodney Brand (Suz) hol d in g down th ird . Du cker starte d to stret ch ou t his lea d wh ile Br and a nd Hulsizer gassed it to see who wou ld get seco nd . Br a nd slip p ed p ast Hu lsizer but Hulsize r d id n't want to give second up eas ily, Hulsizer stayed right on Br and 's back fender an d fina lly shot as Bran d 's rea r wheel slipped over a be rm and slowed him down tempor arily.
