Cyclerama '77 I realize tha t there were a couple of errors in my report on Cyclerama '77, and I take full responsibility for them. That , howcve..., doesn't cha nge the fact that th ere were many things lacking about Cyclerama '77. I ) Kenny New , who was listed as being in th e lin e-up for the Race of Champions was, in actuality, injured ea rlier th at morning when he and at least on e ot he r rid er went down in the first turn of a moto. Because of his injuries, he had to be taken to the hospital for x-rays. My most sincere apologies to Kenny and his famil y. . 2) In the Race of Champions, it was (ac cording to others) actually Brian Myerscough and not Scott Burnswort h who won the final moto. This error in the report - while significant didn't change the overall outcome of the race which was won by J eff Ward . My apologies to the Myerscoughs. . 3) There were a few th ings (lighting . track design, scheduling) that hurt th e overall concept of Cyclerama '77 - which had been hyped as the greatest event since th e creation of the ..arth . Whi le no o ne spe cific party has cla imed any responsibi lity , but has instead blamed someone else . it is only my op in ion th a t everybody involved in the promotion and staging of Cyclorama '77 to some degree was responsible . Enough irresponsibilit y was exh ibited during th e event. and it was only a miracle that none of the kids got seriously hurt .
