Calif. Supervisors ordered Escape
Country closed for 90 days in
response to complaints about
rowdy rock concerts being staged
there. The order does not effect
neighboring Racing World, which
is still conducting business as

Phoenix International RacewClY
has cancelled out of the 1977
schedule of major motocross
events. Gone from the calendar are
the April 17 AMA 125cc National
and the November 27 Trans-AMA.
The track owners cite lack of
money
for
required
track
improvements
Financial
considerations were. reported to
have motivated cancellation of
Saddleback Park's November 6
Trans-AMA as well.
The 1977 TransAMA schedule gets
more changes as the Puyallaup ..
Washington event will move from
November 13 to the November 6 date
vacated by Saddleback.

The final 1977 Supercross round,
set for December 3 in Anaheim
Stadium, Anaheim, Calif. gets a
moved to November 12. That's the
weekend vacated by Puyallup
when they changed their TransAMA date to fill the date vacated
by Saddleback. The updated AMA
