The local FM rock station had likewise been pro moting their sponsorship of the race (The Texas Motorcycle Concert) for the last two weeks wit h radio spots approximately every 10 mi nutes on the station that most Texas A & M students listen tol The country rock concert which had been put together by Texa s W orld Speedway and WTAW FM in College Station was rained out and a very unhappy m anagem ent refunded all monies to riders a n d specta tors wh o had p u rchased tickets. Tracy Nelson is a wonderful lady an d a great singer but understandably, she d id not want to be electrocuted or have her amplifiers ruined by the nagging persistence of a heavy drizzle. Sunday morning dawned cold and continued 'icky' fore casted for the rest of the day .
