David and his Suzuki managed to hold the lead for one lap and then he surrendered it to Scott. Ritchee Collins and Dale Anderson (SUI) followed Gillman and Gerig under the checkers for the final positions. Payback went to those four riders. ' Ma rk Van Camp (Mai) and Randy Blevins (Cl) along with Dave Maas (SUI) and Clint Smith (Mai ) were th e stars in th e 500 Intermediate cla ss. John Smith and his Nightingale Mfg . prepped Suzuki rocket went for the big bucks today and got the win . John's closest competition came from first in the first mota. Jay Sapp and his good buddy Jack Greenberg were fighting each 'ot her all Everybody mixed it up in the Masters class with a muddy moto win , a second and a third posted each b y VP Marvin Olson, around the track . The final checkered flag found Jay taking home the gold with a nice 1-1 and Jack Greenberg sett ling for seco nd with a 2-2. Settling that is, unti l th e next tim e. Th e Pe e W ees were sm a ll in number b~t mighty in spirit. Jason Norman started off with a slight lead over hi s buddy Matt Fou lk . Matt caught up quickly and these two were charging around their track neck and neck. Matt finally got by Jason for a Blackie Lewis and Al Dennler, giving all three identical points. AI took the last mo ta and first overall for the day with Marvin sliding in for second. Following right behind was Blackie, and on his taillights Jim Warden was _throwing muddy rooster-tails for fourth overall .
