In th e same race, Ra y Lopez (Bul) roosted himself all over Lee Eva ns (Suz) and Steve Cha n dler (Mai) in the 250 Experts. What becam e almost a m ilk run for Mayfield , was an exercise in fu til ity for Bogane as Corey floundered in a smoke-screen laid by the Maico rider . Tom main tained his u pp er ha nd advantage in the first two motes with wire 10 wire wins , but the tables were turned suddenly in round three. Boga ne got th e hol eshot , and for the first two laps, had a masterful lead over Mayfield. But on th e third lap , T om pass ed up the rice rocket pil ot 10 lea d a ll the way 10 th e white flag.
