Eklund put some space between himself and Bostrum , Ho cking hun~ on to third while Randy Skiver (T ri) fo ug ht over fourth with Brad Hurst. Allis on had all stops out. go ing for t he Semi. at tim es getting a bit out of shape. esp ec ially on e time over the jump. Transfer h e d id an d the heat was two seconds faster than t he first . John Gennai took o ff through tum one first in th e Semi with Mike Myers (Tri) and Bill Oliver behind. At the left hander leading to th e half-mile tum Gennai, we think. missed a shift. and Myers. Skiver and Oliver went trooping by. Skiver went fo r the inside on turn two . taking the lead away from Myers and there went Gennai heading for his pit to park it. Allison was now up to fourth . As they ca me around th e half-mile again Bill Oliver really got it on and took the lead from Myers. . For the Dash lineup it was Alex J o rgense n on the Beezer heading out for the lead and th en . he overdid it . nearly scattering some ha y and St eve Eklund took over followed by Bostrum and Hatdey . For th e first time ever someone got mixed up and th e . Dash went three laps in stead o f the usual t w o . so it w as Steve Eklund ta king ho me one of th e beautiful pieces of silverplate th at were the troph ies. Hockin g. Bostrum and Hatel ey . Eklund went into the lead an d started moving out. Hatdey go t by Ho c kin g at th e end of the straight and went after Jorgensen who had lost second to Bostrum .
