today. Pressure win s were turned in by

po int winner) in the 60 class and Kelly
Dunnagan in the 35 0 ra nks to take top
spots.

day event which settled high point
awards for the series. Overall
winner was ten year old Doug Ch andler
of Salinas. cu rren t Mini wh ite plate No.
One and th e new District 36 black p late
No . One for 1977 by a co m m and ing
margin. Doug de sign ated th e 80 cl ass for
honors this series and proceeded to rack
up numerou s wins and places for top
spot even agai ns t sportsman Experts
who consistently have h igher point
tota ls in their races.
Expert high poin t honors also went
to Stockton 's Tracy Hays in th e 100
ranks. Modesto's Mitch Dav idson in the
125, El Sobrante 's Dave Faria in the
250, and S to ckton's Car l Yerby in th e
360. Mit ch, aboard the Ray Hook
Blendzall Spe cial and Faria in the 250
event we re the o nly honors men ab le to
p lace in today 's event, oddly en ou gh as
th e fa lldowns and q uestionable traction
held up others.
Ju n ior ra cers faced th e most pressure
today as the 125 and 3 6 0 classes were
still unse tt led. Scott Nugent celebrated
his 80 runaway award with his first
Exper t troph y while Turlock's Don
