From a spectator standpoint,
Leadville is the coliseum of
Colorado MX parks. The whole
track can be seen at one time from
the ridge along the top of the track. The
order of the MX day is Experts and
Amateurs. The previous day had been
devoted exclusively to Minis and
Novices. This left Sunday free and clear
for flat out nearly Pro and Pro racing.
To top it all off it was an A points race.
Colorado's finest were there. The first
moto off the line was the Open A class.
Arlo Englund, Colorado's No. I
motocross rider was off the line first
and never lost the lead. As a matter of
