By Danny Raymond IRVINE, CAL., J UL Y 17 U.S. Suzuki's R&D Te am of Jeff Jennings · a n d Bob Elliott continued their domination at Saddleb ack Park. Jennings smoked both his 500 Pro motos while Bob Elliott shook off a sec o nd mo ta crash and went on to als o score a perfect I -I score on the 250 class, FMF's Tony Wanket took home top honors in the 125 Pro division after a great race with Q&E's Kurt Sofka, this race was neck and neck all the way through the mota until the checkers dropped. The firs t 250 Pro mota was a breeze for Bob Elliott , as he led from the start to finish. Jeff Vidic quickly moved to a strong second while Ron Turner (Su z), Greg Robertson (Oss) and Steve Rhyan diced for third. This battle ended halfway through the race when Turner went down an d Rh yan started to fall off the p ace. Before the mota ended Ron Tebbs motored hi s Kawasaki into the fifth position. During the ear ly part of the ra ce many ti me Na tio nal Champ Gary J on es did some re search and development on his leg muscles as he again pu shed his Am m ex o ff the track scoring an o th erDNf t o hi s list. - Agai n in th e second mota Elliott pulled a nice h olesho t an d wa lked into an o ther fine lead.
