Kenny savoring his second 1976

salvage a points ti e with Roberts for
second. Mike Kidd, af ter the early
scuffle, had ridden h is Harley all by
him self in third, . ahe ad of surprising
Californian Paul Bostrom, who had in
tum placed his Harley ahead of all the
factory tern riders.
The San Jose track had worked its
usual magnetism, drawing a field of over
70 Experts (up from previous Nationals)
in addition to the Juniors on hand for
their
invitational
race.
