about. Both instruments help you to concentrate on riding!
TheChrono-Computer instantly calculatestime. speed. and distance factors to giveyou precise
pacing odometer read-outs to compare with your cycle odometer (the photo example shows
12.58 miles). You can alwaysclearly see when to speed up or slow down. You canalso clearly .
see the exact average speed you've dialed in (15 MPH in the photo example). Speed cha'nges
can be dialed in quickly. and the " hold" switch freezes the read-out during planned stops.

Foland flashes to
AMC MXwin
By Danny Raymond
SADDLEBACK, CAL., APRIL 25
AMC's acti on was highlighted by a
very large Open Pro division, but
KTM's Jeff Foland swept both
motos from start to finish, with
hard charging Richee Collins (KT M)
trailing in second. Steve Bauer took his
D&G prepared Honda to the head of the
125 Pro class, while John McGonigal
(FMF) rode a fine second moto to
assure him a second overall.
As the pack funneled into the first
turn of the Open Pro race, Jeff Foland
took command, leavin g Scott Cavn ess
(Suz), Richee Collins and Bill Wall on
the gas an d giving chase. Steve Shipkey,
held back by a poor start, began to
m ove thro ugh the pack and apply
pressureon Collins for second. Ti me ran
out before Shipkey had a chance to
complete his charge, but h is Maico
prevented a complete KTM sweep of
Foland : Collins, and fourth p lace Russ
Wilson .
The second moto started with
Foland, again smoking out in front,
leaving Collins and Cavness battling for
second. Collins took advantage of a
quickly tiring Cavness and pulled into a
comfortable
second.
Before
the
checkers fell , Robert Zingg rode his
Suzuki into third, Shipkey fourth.
After tying up the 250 Pro overall,
Kevin Rodgers, while leading the second
mota, refused to slow for the yellow
flag and was docked one lap for it.
Kevin Crawford was awarded the overall
payback, Mike Goodrich (Suz) second
and Rodgers third.
