Tidwell's 125 o ut of With co mmissio n, he was only able to chalk u p three wins instead of the usual five he has been collecting these past weeks. Mike Minnig was giving him a race for his m on ey on the IT but unfortunately h e joined the spectators when his piston refused to keep going. J eff Springman was more t han happy to take over second. When the half mile rolled around Minnig had performed the proper fir st aid and was back on the line ready to go. He led the first lap but ended up watching Tidwell sail away. John Calicchio wrapped up the Open Expert IT clas s right off the line but the effort either did in him or his machine and he wasn't able to make the half mile . Steve Miller, an Amateur, won the Open Expert half mile and when you beat the Experts you earn th e ri ght to join the ranks. Don Waffle got righ t ba ck on th e line for the 750 Expert half mile and held the first for seven laps when fatigu e set in and Tom Worfolk took over for the remaining three.
