Guest Editorials The AMA replies: ttWe've not been idle" 00 N lo-< IlJ ..0 o .... For u years We noted the letter from Cecil Drysdale in "Voices of the West" and Larry Langley's recent "Enduro Scene." Given the amount of o or finance the AMA. It should in all fairness to the industry be noted that they have delegated the competition rules making to the AMA Congress and the Professional Rules Committee. But it is clear that the Class A members should have more representatives on the Board. This is the feeling of the AMA Congress. We are proposing th at the make-up of the Board be changed from 10 industry people and three Class A members to seven industry men and six Class A members. Two members would be elected from each AMA Region. It is felt by the Congress that this mixture of enthusiasts and business would make for .a better, more responsive, AMA. Surely there would be a fairer ratio between those who pay the bills and those who make the decisions. If you have feelings one way or the other, please write Al\IA Board of Trustees, P.O. On February 7, 1975, we met with James Ruch, Acting State Director of the BLM in Sacramento. 3 . On March 26-27, 1975, we met with representatives of the BLM Bakersfield District Office and officials of the Los Angeles Coun ty Park and Recreation Department. Ul >
