Jennings went on to win the moto
uncontested.
Mike
Hersman
took
second and Chris Gr ew er third. Overall,
Hersman 's consistency paid off.
Dan Geery (Hon) was jumpy on the
line for the start of the first 250 Pro
race. In fact Dan was so jumpy they had
to restart the race twice and it seemed
as if Geerv was causing all the
commotion. When things got sorted out
guess who pulled the start ? Following
Dan was Class C rider Bruce Hanlon
(Bul), doing a fine job considering his
style was rather on the wide open side.
!\lark Peters [Suz] was also in the hunt
ridi ng in about third.
Geery looked fast and it seemed like
this would be his race . No way, as
Han lon was riding Geery all the way,
waiting for the mistake. When it came,
he was there to cash in on it. Oeery
fought back and took second with Mark
Peters not far. behind.

Runn ing in tight quarters were Peters in
second and Rudy Leo n (Pen) in third.
Once again ' it 100 ked like Dan would
have an easy win but about the halfway
poin t Geery bro ke his brake lever and
had to hang o nto it so as not to get it
caugh t in his front wheel. This was
Geery's continuing saga of little
breakdowns that have been plaguing
him since he got his new Honda. Mark
Peters took over first place and held it.
Steve Lawrence, also on a new Suzuki,
worked up to second.
