BOOK a LADDER ENDURO Pasadena fire fighters are set for world's largest fun run - .. Here's a chance for all of you folks out there who have been wanting to ride an enduro but are afraid that all of those high rolli n' time keepers are going to laugh at you and your DT-1. The Hook and Ladder Enduro is a beginner's run but it is also a benefit for the USC Medical Center bum ward. The sponsors of the event, the Women's Auxillary of the Pasadena Fire Department, have been collecting frunds since 1972 for the bum facility at USC. Last year was the first running o f the Hook and Ladder and it was an unqualified success. There were over 100 companies donating awards for the event and this year promises to be even bigger. In Tact it is turning into a real two day extravaganza, with aerial teams parachuting ou t of planes, entertainment for the kids and many other forms o f excitement. Along with the side shows is the enduro itself. It will consist of 80 -100 miles of fun rid ing terrain that will be enjoyable to all classes ' of riders' from A class to C. Many pri zes will be given including a TS-I00 Suzuki, donated by U.S. Suzuki. Som e of the other things that will be given away in th e tw o-day fun fest will be boots, leathers, tire s, oil, tire sealant, tie downs, helmets, spark plu gs, even Martel has donated quite a few toys to be given ou t to the kid s. Rem ember th at all entries arc donati ons and arc tax deductible. This is a chance to go ou t, have a fun week end with a bunch of people who like to ride too, and it is also a chance to do som ething nice for som e pe op le who are not as well o ff as we are.
