As if to answer that question, Don J ones revealed to Cycle News a 250cc, 5-speed, street legal prototype that he brought up from the factory in Mexico for some serious study and development work. The TS 250 Islo presently harbors the 250 Enduro engine with (unfortunately) the enduro gearing, which has an uncomfortably long space between fourth and to p gear. As is, it won't quite pull to p gear uphill , but on the flat it easily cracks off 95 mph (indicated). "We1l leave the enduro first gear fo r easy starting," Don says, "but go to the MX ratios for the rest. The motocross cylinder is going on it j ust as soon as I can get it, and we'll try it with the 350 top end also ." .
