At one tim e J ohnson tuned for World Champion Phil Read , and later tuned for Brad Lackey and J im Weine rt. Despite his experience, it's a heavy load for Steve, wh o may be the m ost overworked tuner in modem tim es. Kawasaki KR 250 front discs are killers. The little deyils haYe already daimed three fingemails and one whole fingertip in van loading accidents. It seems the shard-edged lighte ning holes in the disc carrier are just right for imp rom ptu surgery when someone grabs a fork leg to load the motorcyde.
