Pessy had cra shed badly in the fin al 250 mot o wh en he high sided just past th e Wheelsm ith jump and landed with the bike o n top of him. Mini Division "A" went to Todd Brown (Yam) . First he at Brown led it all th e way chased by Pat Richmond (Yam) an d Pete Hames (Ho n) , with Ham es getting into t he second spot on the las t lap. Second heat Ham es took the lead and held it, then Bro wn , Rich m ond and Bry an J ordan (Yam). So co m e the th ird heat it could be anybody's ra ce, with Bro wn an d Hames with one w in each, b ut it was Pat Ric hmond who grabbed off the lead and Bro wn had to m ake his way p ast Hames halfway through to get a seco n d and the overall wi n. To show th a t Ch u b Kellum 's sepe ra t ing t he riders was very fair th e secon d division o f minis were just about te n seconds slower th an th e firs t , b u t if any thing th e racing was be tter wi t hou t so much horsepower. David Do ve (Yam) was the to beat b ut it was Pau l Smith (lion who di d th e real wo rk in the class. Hea t one it was Dove in fro n t , then Frank Arm endari z (Hon) wit h Smi th m o vin g into second on th e las t lap . In the second go round it was Do ve in fro n t , but Smith sli p ped b y for th e win . The Pro boys were out again in full force to earn th ose transfer points and there was much go o d natured kidding as they co llec te d their receipts after rac in g was ov er .
