" u nbreakable" lever assem blies in the p ast. No ne t hat I e ver had st aye d unb re a kab le. However , sin ce I p u t these Im p ac n yl on levers on I haven't had any proble ms whatsoever. The cable adj usters had to b e drilled o ut fo r the oversized cab le ends on m y Honda but tha t was n o bi g thing. The brake lever does flex under he avy braking but not enough to e ffec t the e ffi ci e n cy of the brakes themselves. So, another Enduro Scene Stamp of Approval go e s out to Impac Leve rs . A vailable through your local dealer. Jackwal nylo n sprocket Again j ay Tullis put me on to a product. He has been runnin g one of Jackwal 's n ylon sprockets fo r a year in the 1).37 en d uro ci rcu i t , I pu t one on and was admittedly a little wary, but so far the sprocket has held up just fine. In fact it hasn 't sh o w n any wear at all. has so me self lubricating Ny lon properties so that undoubtedly helps keeping chain an d sp rocket wear to a minim um . The sprocket is incredibly light - m u ch lighter even than an al uminum sprocket. Co mpared to th e st oc k st eel sp rocket, you can save a b o u t fo ur pounds o f unsp rung weigh t . So far th e sp rocket h as wor ked out we ll . However, I wi ll keep an eye on the nylo n w onder an d keep y ou posted to its lon g ran ge d urabili ty . Available through your local dealer. Scott Polaroid Goggles I guess th is colu mn is devo ted to the produc ts wh ich have really turne d m e on lately. The la te st is the Scott Pola ro id Goggles. They are just superb. I have al ways preferred glass goggles in the p as t but I am hooked on the Scott Goggles no w. I even had to b uy a pair for m y wife. She has a problem with her contact lens and the Scott 's were the first she could wear that kept the d ust out enough so her eyes didn't get irritated. The polaroid lens really are worth the extra price. How many ti mes have y ou had problems reading y o u r speedo o r watch and had a combination of dust and sun glare make it difficult? I know I h ave . Well , the fir st enduro I rode wearing the goggles, I coul dn 't believe the difference . The polaroid le n s really cut throu gh the glare. I like the fit and c o m fort al so .
